



The Cincinnati Art Museum has an opening for a full-time Accounting Clerk in the Finance Department.
Responsibilities: Working under the direction of the Deputy Director of Finance & Administration, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely financial transactions and reporting. Duties include, but are not limited to: processing of purchase orders on daily basis, processing of check run weekly, insuring A/P system balances to General Ledger, entering purchase orders for the Finance department, completing year-end functions associated with A/P system including issuing 1099’s at year-end, overseeing appropriate department payments of invoices and statements in a timely manner, reconciling of the endowment and record income, gains/losses and fees (monthly), reconciling of the credit card bank statements (monthly), recording membership and volunteer revenue (daily), completing sales tax return (monthly), data entry for payroll (new hire information, address changes, etc.), reconciling with Development and Membership (monthly), reconciling prepaid postage (monthly), maintaining all accounts payable files and other duties as assigned. Other responsibilities include cooperating in a teamwork fashion with all co-workers to accomplish goals, demonstrating respect and dignity to co-workers and visitors, providing excellence in service and always portraying a positive and professional image of CAM, maintaining confidentiality and following CAM protocols, procedures, rules and policies.
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required and at least one year of related experience. In addition, a good working knowledge of database, word processing, and other relevant computer programs is essential.
Ideal Requirements: Ideal candidates will have a four-year college degree and three years experience and/or training in the field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Non-profit experience is a plus.
Salary range: 26,000 - 30,000 annual salary, exempt. Pay commensurate with experience.
